Post Show Update: Sorry for the late cutoff chatters, the site punted me and said NO! 😦 Fun show, I’ll flesh this posting out tomorrow, many thanks to the callers and the chatbox! Not everything was covered, we’ll do predictions next time, and We had some great things pointed out. Again, apologies for being sick and spacey here and there, but at least I made it through!

With a new year comes a new coloring theme! I hope you folks like it, and I also hope it’s more readable! Check that top bar for tabs – there will be more soon, once I have time to sit down and organize my material.
There’s a show planned for this friday, 8:30 7:30 pm pacific. Check back here around then for the link or just keep an eye on the blog talk radio page. Thinking about having this be a show regarding Iran, the Iowa caucus, and I’ll read my bus musings as well as share some of what you folks have to say about the coming year. There’s still time to submit comments and thoughts, and I’d love to see them!
Update: Alright, you guys win. 7:30 pm if I can manage it.
Programming Note: Still enthusiastically accepting predictions folks! And I’m currently working on the December post round-up. Should be up sometime tonight.
In the future, please, PLEASE make these things earlier. It may be fine for you in California, but in the East, that is late. Also, I go to bed rather early compared to most people. I really want to listen live, but I can’t when I’m liable to fall asleep during the middle of it.
See above replies!
I agree with RT5 do them earlier or do you not like your East Coast listeners. About the colour scheme you some image man the site looks rather drab without one, i would also suggest choosing new colours you need ones that contrast.
Hahahaha well, if I change the time too much then I offend my west coast audience!
It’s a balancing act, and we’ll see how things go this month, especially if I am able to do twice a week shows.
Regarding the coloring scheme – yeah, it’s drab, but that’s almost the point. I’d rather my readers marvel at my words then at the pretty colors – BUT THAT SAID – I very well could change my mind. Give it a week or two and I’ll poke people for opinions.
In response to the change we love you for it as staying up till 1am is not fun for me at least.
No problem – don’t forget the show IS a podcast, if you subscribe to the link – http://www.blogtalkradio.com/thedougem.rss in itunes, windows media player, what have you – you will get the podcast in your music player!
I do know listening live is fun though 🙂 My eventual goal is to be much like my livestreams used to – a morning/afternoon show, and an evening show. Two shows a week. Tough to manage around a busy schedule, but not unpossible.
If I didn’t hate iTunes and Apple (ethical and personal reasons) I would use that but I currently can’t figure out how to do it in Songbird.
Blam. . I hope this helps 😀
I should add that I continue to use Zune player because my old zune is still trucking on strong. Love that thing, and I continue to mourn it’s passing as Microsoft won’t make them anymore 😦
Zune high five. I don’t really use it anymore as the software itself is messy and I don’t really have a need but I haven’t tried the new versions yet.
Booya. Yeah, the software is gross but it’s really good at hooking up and following podcasts – and it can do the encrypted podcasts like a champ! (monthly fee for access to the full show like with Glenn Beck’s show). It’ll take pretty much any rss feed and auto-watch it for updates. The pure simplicity of an audio-focused device is refreshing. I don’t want my media player to be a phone 8I
